Maxillary extends slightly beyond the anterior margin of the lower eye; 2.64 in HL. Long, slender, non-serrated gill-rakers on first arch. Prevomer tip not projecting into the mouth cavity. Deciduous scales; ctenoid on ocular side; cycloid on blind side.
