Etymology: Rhamphichthys: Greek, rhamphos = bill, peak + Greek, ichthys = fish (Ref. 45335); heleios: The specific name heleios from the Greek meaning ‘‘dwelling in the marsh,’’ refers to the floodplain habitats where this species has been collected.
