Head cylindrical, 5.0-5.7 times in SL; chins not swollen; caudal peduncle exceeding in length the head length; dorsal fin with convex distal margin; narrow truncated lower jaw, featuring a cutting margin; long intestine and two fields of brushlike tubercles on each side of the body in males (Ref. 57946).
