Diagnosis: relatively large eyes, long lower jaw, great predorsal distance and short dorsal fin base; long pectoral fin, often reaching past the third anal fin spine (Ref. 55949).
鑑別: 相當大的眼，長的下頜, 大的前背距離與短的背鰭基底; 長的胸鰭, 時常延伸到第三根臀鰭棘.(參考文獻 55463)
描述: 身體縱深; 大的眼睛有直徑大於吻的長度; 突出的上頜骨前的莖; 下頜有時清楚地些微地伸出超過上頜頜; 神經突起一般突出; 腹鰭短, 時常不達到排洩孔。 (參考文獻 55463)
體色 雌性與非繁殖期的雄性銀色的與 countershaded; 雄性在繁殖方面穿著比較深色的背面有銀色的側面, 一個白色的腹面與背鰭的一個寬的白色邊緣, 從前面到背面輕敲者所以鰭在在前面出現白色的而在背部出現黑色的; 腹鰭與臀鰭通常深色的; 臀鰭有 1-2 大又白黃色的 eggspots.(參考文獻 55463)
