Body shape (shape guide): fusiform / normal; Cross section: compressed.
体高 2.8-3.9 x SL。 尾柄深度 15.7-22.6 x SL。 臀鳍基底 3.4-4.2 x SL。 眼直径 2.8-3.9个 x 头长。 如 P. tenuicauda 的相同颜色. 相同的三角形的斑点在背部而尾鳍上有 V 字形班纹。 臀鳍有三角形的斑点。
Affinities: appearance close to P. tenuicauda; difference in number of soft rays.
