Μορφολογία | Μορφομετρία
Σπόνδυλοι: 28 - 27. This species is distinguished from its congeners by the presence of an elongated dark spot along the middle caudal-fin branched rays, not involving the lanceolate plates at the base of
the fin; the spot is typically extended over equal number of upper- and lower-lobe branched rays and along more than two thirds of the ray length (Ref. 84367).
Facultative air-breathing in the genus (Ref. 126274)

Estimates based on models
Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref.
82804): PD
50 = 0.5001 [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00759 (0.00337 - 0.01709), b=3.12 (2.93 - 3.31), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this (Sub)family-body shape (Ref.
93245).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref.
59153): Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
