Spine dorsali (totale): 6 - 8; Raggi dorsali molli (totale): 6-8; Spine anali 0; Raggi anali molli: 6 - 7; Vertebre: 45 - 48. Snout pointed, with a pair of barbels on its ventral surface. Free nasal margin serrated, with small spines. Branchial membranes fused with isthmus.
