Eastern Atlantic: Portugal and Azores to Congo, and from Namibia to South Africa including the Mediterranean. Western Indian Ocean: off Natal, South Africa (Ref. 4058). Northwest Atlantic: Canada (Ref. 5951). Southwest Pacific: New Zealand (Ref. 5755). Southeast Pacific: Chile (Ref. 9068). Presumed circumglobal in the southern transition region. Southwestern Atlantic: Brazil (Ref. 47377)and Argentine (Ref. 44852).
