Espinas dorsales (total): 0; Radios blandos dorsales (total): 62-72; Espinas anales 0; Radios blandos anales: 39 - 46. Pelvic fins of females with 6 soft rays, absent in males (Ref. 6600). No true gill rakers (Ref. 27363). Dark brown or pale in male and black or dark brownish black in female (Ref. 37473).
