Rückenflossenstacheln (insgesamt): 0; Rückenflossenweichstrahlen (insgesamt): 62-72; Afterflossenstacheln 0; Afterflossenweichstrahlen: 39 - 46. Pelvic fins of females with 6 soft rays, absent in males (Ref. 6600). No true gill rakers (Ref. 27363). Dark brown or pale in male and black or dark brownish black in female (Ref. 37473).
