Short description Morphology | Morphometrics

Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-8; Anal soft rays: 5. Oxynoemacheilus hazarensis can be distinguished from all it congeners in the Tigris and Euphrates drainages by a combination of characters, none of them unique. It shares with other members of a group of species (O. chomanicus, O. frenatus, O. gyndes, O. kaynaki, O. kiabii and O. zagrosensis) which lack a suborbital groove in males (vs. present in O. bergianus, O. euphraticus, O. hanae, O. longipinnis, O. karunensis, O. kurdistanicus and O. parvinae) and in having a slightly emarginate or truncate caudal fin (vs. deeply emarginate or forked in O. argyrogramma, O. bergianus, O. euphraticus, O. hanae, O. longipinnis, O. karunensis, O. kurdistanicus and O. parvinae).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5000   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00741 (0.00418 - 0.01315), b=2.99 (2.84 - 3.14), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this species & Genus-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trophic level (Ref. 69278):  2.8   ±0.3 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Resilience (Ref. 120179):  Medium, minimum population doubling time 1.4 - 4.4 years (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
