Slightly superior mouth; 165-178 anal rays; dorsal profile slightly convex to almost straight; body depth 12-15% in length to end of anal fin (LEA) and 14-17% of anal fin base; eye diameter and interocular distance 6-8% and 13-17% in head length, respectively; anal fin origin below base of pectorals or slightly forward, but not beyond gill opening; head depth at nape, 62-71% in head length.
