Dorsal soft rays (total): 180 - 182; Anal soft rays: 147 - 165. Based on the available information, the larva of this species has fewer preanal myomeres (46-48) than any of the Atlantic species (49-60); no anterior ventral melanophore; with posterior lateral melanophore; last vertical blood vessel myomeres 51-53, total myomeres 100-101; sharp intestinal loop (Ref. 133039).
