Marine; pelagic-oceanic; oceanodromous (Ref. 51243); depth range 1000 - 2000 m (Ref. 58018). Deep-water; 10°N - 20°S
Western Pacific: Japan (Ref. 559) and the South China Sea (Ref. 41521) to Australia (Ref. 7300) and New Zealand (Ref. 5755). Also known from the Indian Ocean. South China Sea (Ref.74511).
