Anal
soft rays: 13. This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: anal soft rays 13; caudal fin length 2.25-2.7 in SL; numerous small pale-blue spots and occasional small orange-yellow spots on white spaces between orange-red bars on body (Ref. 82599).
Occurs on open sand bottoms of clear water reefs (Ref. 9710). Lives with alphaeid shrimps in burrows.
