| Symptoms: | Symptoms include dark body coloration and/or accentuated coloring, whirling, emaciation, fin- and tailrot and signs that point to secondary bacterial infections. Swellings may also form in the skin, tail and fins. | |
| Treatments: | Sporozoa-infections are in most cases incurable. If there is only a small growth in any part of the body, treatment can be effective using Methylene blue (1 gm/100 ml). | |
