Found in northern Namibia and common at the Cunene River mouth. Occassionally entering lower reaches of Orange River (Ref. 27121) and Kunene River (Ref. 52863). Caught by shore anglers and occasionally in trawls and purse seines (Ref. 36731). Flesh edible (Ref. 12484). Also Ref. 3397, 54854.
