Ranges from Nunavut (Ref. 58426) to Nova Scotia (Ref. 5951), and Arctic Canada at depths of 1271 to 1472 meters. It is abundant a;pmg the sloping banks fronting Nova Scotia and was reported from longline catches below 600 meters in 1875. Fishery was discontinued and reporting of this species decreased.
