Abundance fairly common (chances are about 50%) Ref. Sadovy, Y. and A.S. Cornish, 2000

The species was observed on 101 to 200 occasions during 400 dive surveys on artificial reefs (Ref. 119494). Moderately abundant in sandy areas of shallow rocky reefs and coral communities, especially shallower than 10 m (Ref. 36558). Also Ref. 54393.
