A lessepsian migrant. Identification confirmed by J.E. Randall and K. Matsuura. Sighted in the area in 2001 and resighted again on 14 March 2002 at Marfa Point. The 4 cm juvenile was observed on sand field with very few short blades of Posidonia oceanica, Neptune grass, at a depth of 26 m and a temperature of 15° C (Alex Buttigieg, pers. Comm.).
