Distribution: Lepidocephalichthys kranos occurs in the Chao Phraya drainage in Thailand and the Mekong drainage in Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam, where it seems to be common and often found with L. hasselti. It is common in paddy fields, slow-flowing streams, and ponds, and is typically found in habitats with dense vegetation. (Ref. 83671).
