Issue
This species is synonym of Aphanius fasciatus (Valenciennes 1821) in Kottelat et al., 2007 (Ref. 58344:29). The species page will be removed for the next update.

Africa: Endemic to sulphur producing lakes, springs and their drainage canals in northern Libya. Probably a synonym of Aphanius fasciatus.
