背棘 (總數): 3; 背的軟條 (總數): 9-10; 臀棘 3; 臀鰭軟條: 8 - 10; 脊椎骨: 33 - 36. Distinguished from congeners by the following characters: large scales (34 to 37, commonly 35, in the lateral row), commonly 9 branched rays in both the dorsal and anal fins, a low number of vertebrae (33 to 36 total, commonly 35), a deep shortened 2nd infraorbital, a broad 4th infraorbital and a well developed 5th one with a widened lamellate portion (Ref. 50154).
在特徵之後與同類區分了藉由: 大的鱗片 (34 到 37, 通常 35, 在側面的列中),9個分支條在背鰭與臀鰭，一個脊椎骨 (33 到 36 總數, 通常 35) 的低數字中通常, 一深地變短第二眶下的, 一寬的第 4 眶下的與發展良好的六具有一個擴大 lamellate 部分.(參考文獻 50154)
