Etymology: Psednos: Greek, psednos, -e, -on = rare (Ref. 45335);  andriashevi: Named for Anatole P. Andriashev, who made the definitive morphologic study of genus Psednos (Ref. 42989).

Short description Morfologia | Morfometria

Raggi dorsali molli (totale): 42; Vertebre: 47. No coronal pore, 7 preoperculo-mandibular pores. Head large (27% SL), and very compressed (40% HL); gill slit large (1.3 eye diameter), opercular flap long, wing-like, reaching behind midpectoral length and level with pupil. Pectoral fin short (45% HL), with two notch rays.
