Rückenflossenstacheln (insgesamt): 0; Rückenflossenweichstrahlen (insgesamt): 56-61; Afterflossenstacheln 0; Afterflossenweichstrahlen: 51 - 55; Wirbelzahl: 64 - 67. Caudal fin rays 8-9. Premaxillary teeth absent or 1-15 present anteriorly on each premaxillary. Complete set of uniserial row of simple triangular, anteriorly slanting canines on each side of lower jaw. Pectoral fins notched.
