Description synthétique Morphologie | Morphométrie

Épines dorsales (Total): 6 - 7; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 10; Épines anales 1; Rayons mous anaux: 10. Characterized by pale grey color on back, ventrally white; upper side from nape to caudal peduncle with 4-5 irregular brown blotches/saddles; head and body with scattered dark-edged orange spots; oblique black band under eye; orange spots on first and second dorsal fins; 2-3 dark spots near margin of first dorsal fin; triangular first dorsal fin, first two dorsal spines prolonged; united pelvic fins, well developed frenum present; longitudinal scale series 25-50; head without scales; cycloid scales covering body; greatest depth of body 5.0-5.6 in SL; rounded caudal fin, shorter than head length; absence of posterior oculoscapular sensory canal (Ref. 90102).
