Short description Morfología | Morfometría

Radios blandos dorsales (total): 9-11; Radios blandos anales: 9 - 11. Oval shaped body, eye diameter a bit longer than mouth. Round-shaped scale, black spot in the edge of the scales in upper part of the body. Incomplete lateral line. Dorsal fin starts from the middle of the body. Dark gray in the stomach (Ref.33366).

Utilized for animal feed (Ref. 89718).

Female has an ovipositor which is used to deposit eggs inside bivalves. Young remain in the bivalve until they can swim (Ref. 43281).
