Spine dorsali (totale): 5 - 7; Raggi dorsali molli (totale): 35-37; Spine anali 0; Raggi anali molli: 33 - 35; Vertebre: 51 - 53. Lateral line scales 49 (upper), 8 (lower). Caudal, pectoral and pelvic fins lemon yellow; dorsal and anal fins yellow; tips of all fins lighter (Ref. 5179).
May be found at depths greater than 250 m in the Patagonian region (Ref. 5179).
Mature females may spawn for the first time from around 3-4 years of age (Ref. 71843).
