Espinas dorsales (total): 7; Radios blandos dorsales (total): 20; Espinas anales 3; Radios blandos anales: 17; Vértebra: 26. No dermal flap or small tentacle dorsally on eye. A large pore in midinterorbital space close to the edge of the orbit; a smaller median pore posteriorly in interorbital space. Tubular anterior nostril when laid back not reaching posterior nostril; when extended forward, near front of snout and moderately long, though not reaching front edge of upper lip. .A single, incomplete lateral line. Longitudinal scale series about 48.
