Short description Morfologia | Morfometria

Spine dorsali (totale): 2 - 3; Raggi dorsali molli (totale): 7-8; Spine anali 3; Raggi anali molli: 11 - 14. Compressed body, dorsal fin inserted behind the origin of pelvic fins. Mouth subterminal, lower jaw at an angle of 25-40° to the horizontal. Pharyngeal teeth 5-5. Silvery body with a dark lateral band.
