Spine dorsali (totale): 4 - 5; Raggi dorsali molli (totale): 5; Spine anali 0; Raggi anali molli: 5 - 6. A well-projecting knob on parietal region. No elevation at nape. Bony plate on body with a knob. Attains 15 cm SL.
Found over muddy-sand bottom.
