背棘 (總數): 11; 背的軟條 (總數): 27-28; 臀棘 2; 臀鰭軟條: 7. Strikingly contrasts with other Argyrosomus species by its short, beak-like snout and its concave dorsal profile. Also differs from its congeners by its large eyes (23.8-26.9% HL), narrow interorbital width (15.2-15.6% HL), and long pectoral (23.2-23.8% SL) and pelvic (22.4-23.3% SL) fins.
顯著地用它的短, 鳥嘴形的吻與它的凹背面輪廓對比與其它的 Argyrosomus 種在一起。 用它的大眼 (23.8-26.9% HL) ,狹窄的眼間骨寬度 (15.2-15.6% HL) 與長的胸鰭 (23.2-23.8% SL) 與腹鰭 (22.4-23.3% SL) 鰭也有別於它的同類。
