| Body is elongate and fusiform. The gut extends over 71-79% of SL, and the diameter of the foregut and hindgut is the same. Eyes are stalked and is equal to around 7% of SL and 24% of HL. Pigmentation: Three melanophores along the body gut margin. Another stellate melanophore is present on the lateral side of the body at the level of myomeres 11-12-13. Presence of aggregations of small melanophores on the notochordal tip and along the margins of the lower and upper jaws. Sequence of fin development: Caudal fin rays were distinguishable only in 26.0 mm SL larva, which had 19 rays. Only 8 pterygiophores were discernible in the dorsal fin, 15 in the anal fin. | ||||
