Comments: Relative fecundity: number of eggs/kg of body weight. Spawning takes place during a small increase in the water level. Peak of spawning occurs in the middle of June (Ref. 40142). Mature fish breed in the main river bed over pebble deposits. After spawning, the breeding group returns to the estuary to feed. No feeding occurs during spawning (Ref. 40142).
