(English) Northern biogeographical region, with continental climate, north of 30° N. Air temperature may range from -12 (or -30, if tundra is included) to +18°C. Adapted to cold waters below 5°C. (See also: temperate, subtropical)

Son climat est continental avec des températures d'air qui peuvent être comprises entre -12 (ou -30, si la toundra est incluse) et +18°C. Adapté aux eaux froides au-dessous de 5°C.
