Family:  Zoarcidae (Eelpouts), subfamily: Lycodinae
Max. size:  22.6 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 350 - 1700 m
Distribution:  Arctic: Norwegian Sea, Kara Sea and Northwest -and East Greenland.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Benthic on muddy bottoms at 622-1,175 m, with temperatures below 0°C. Feeds on small crustaceans (Ref. 4695).

Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Occurs in the waters northwest -and east of Greenland north of Ammassalik (Angmagssalik).
