Country info:  Found throughout the Congo River basin, from the lower course to the Bangweulu drainage (Ref. 78218). Reported from the lower Congo (Ref. 42510), Pool Malebo (=Stanley Pool) (Ref. 42496), middle Congo near Yangambi (Ref. 4910), Wagenia Falls (Ref. 42480), lower Lualaba near Wagenia Falls (Ref. 45434), Aruwimi (Ref. 41590, 41594) and Uele (Ref. 41594).
