Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 1000 - 1845 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: southwestern Sea of Okhotsk from Kitami-yamato Bank to Cape Shiretoko, Hokkaido, Japan.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-11; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 9-9; Vertebrae: 27-28. Fresh specimens uniformly dark brown, snout slightly paler. Fins black; region of anus white.
