Family:  Chlopsidae (False morays)
Max. size:  20.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 1 - 5 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: known only from Assumption Island in the Indian Ocean, Aldabra, Cosmodelo Group of the Seychelles, New Caledonia, Palau, Fiji, and Hawaii.
Diagnosis:  Brown color with the inside of the mouth white.
Biology:  Benthic within rock crevices (Ref. 58302). A specimen was collected from 0-1.5 m depth (Ref. 7490).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 20 November 2019 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
