This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: dorsally expanded caudal peduncle as result of long ang numerous dorsal procurrent caudal-fin rays 29-32; well-developed pelvic fin and girdle; anterior segment of the infraorbital canal absent; and ventral procurrent caudal-fin rays 19-20 (Ref. 137860). | |||
