Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 1 - 1557 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Prevalent off southwest Australia, in the Great Australian Bight, and in the waters off Tasmania, New South Wales and south Queensland.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in coastal shallow water (Ref. 9872). Also in Ref. 9137.
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 26 December 2019 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
