Max. size:  15 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: from the Kinsuka rapids at the exit of Pool Malebo up to the upper Lualaba (Ref. 2970), in Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in large rivers; sometimes found in rapids (Ref. 2829). Aquarium keeping: solitary, agressive towards others (René König, pers. comm., 2004) .
