Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 750 - 1550 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: Western Sahara south to Angola. Indo-West Pacific: Mozambique Ridge (Ref. 2711), Great Australian Bight and Shoalhaven Bight, N.S.W (Ref. 7300).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 20-25; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 19-25
