Family:  Mochokidae (Squeakers or upside-down catfishes), subfamily: Mochokinae
Max. size:  17.1 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 7.5; dH range: 4 - 15
Distribution:  Africa: middle Congo River basin, including Pool Malebo (= Stanley Pool) and the Kasai drainage (Ref. 78218, 82238). Also reported from Makaka (Kouilou-Niari basin), Republic of Congo (Ref. 82238).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Its electric organ is located dorsally and consists of modified striated muscle (Ref. 10011). Oviparous (Ref. 205).
