Max. size:  11.84 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 260 - 945 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Atlantic: off West Africa, mainly extending from 2°N to 12°S. A record from 14°49'N, 17°43'W (IOS 10873), represents a northwesterly range extension.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits mud bottoms (Ref. 10734).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 17 May 2013 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
