Dorsal spines (total): 9-9; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 10-10; Vertebrae: 25-25. Body brown on top of head and back, shading to salmon-pink below. Distinct from other species with its four to six black spots on caudal fin. Pectoral fins pinkish hyaline, upper base with a diffuse dusky spot; pelvic fins whitish. With four to five predorsal scales; two cheek scale rows behind eye, three below eye. No scaly sheath at base of dorsal and anal fins. Scales large. |
