Family:  Scophthalmidae (Turbots)
Max. size:  45 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 10 - 150 m
Distribution:  Europe: Black Sea.
Diagnosis:  Bony tubercles generally developed on both sides which are always larger than eye (Ref. 4703).
Biology:  Max. length (Trevor Meyer, pers. comm., 2001).
