Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, potamodromous
Distribution:  Asia: Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and Tibet (Ref. 41236). Reported from Iran (Ref. 39702).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in mountain streams and rivers (Ref. 41236). Young and small adults occur in shallow streams and pools while large adults inhabit the main river (Ref. 4832).
