Distribution:  Asia: Manipur Valley and Nagaland in India.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Processus dentiformis present; 8+7 branched caudal rays; 7 1/2 branched dorsal rays; males with a suborbital flap; 35 pores along lateral line which reaches pelvic fin origin; no axillary pelvic lobe (Ref. 39226).
Biology:  Inhabits shallow, swift, clear streams with pebbly bottom (Ref. 41236).
