Diagnosis: | Vertebrae: 38-38. Rasbora naggsi is distinguished from all its congeners from India and Sri Lanka by a combination of the following characters: axial stripe anteriorly narrow, faint in preserved specimens; mouth terminal; symphysial knob and premaxillary lateral process absent; ½ 4/ 1/ 1 ½ scales in transverse line on body; post-dorsal length 43.8-46.5 % SL; and body depth 18.1-21.7 % SL (Ref. 84057). | |||
